Dry Needling in Grand Junction Colorado
Even as a collegiate runner Dr. Nic recognized the benefits of dry needling. He has been taking courses since chiropractic school and has even been an assistant instructor in dry needling.
Dry needling is typically characterized as the introduction of a needle into a tight and/or tender muscle. The effects of dry needling include increasing blood flow to an area, facilitating an aggregation of healing factors to an area, modulating pain, and the modulation of mechanoreceptors. However, dry needling is not as effective alone as it is in conjunction with other treatments such as rehabilitative exercises, strengthening exercises, and even other therapies such as spinal manipulation.
